LEAN Scheduling
LEAN scheduling is more than a planning method: it's a people-first mindset. This training introduces participants to the philosophy and techniques of LEAN scheduling, showing how it improves collaboration, increases workflow reliability, and reduces waste on construction projects.

Why this training
Traditional scheduling often loses the connection to the field. This is mainly related to the limited communication and collaboration over the multiple levels of the organisation.
LEAN Scheduling closes this gap by introducing shared commitment, practical collaboration techniques and a common goal. The Plan2Flow™ simulation turns theory into action, creating strong team engagement and long-term impact.

Learning goals
After this training, participants can:
-
explain and apply the core principles of LEAN Scheduling and the Last Planner System (LPS®);
-
use pull planning and visual planning methods to create reliable look‑ahead and weekly plans;
experience the benefits of collaborative planning and shared responsibility;
translate LEAN theory into practical improvements on real projects.

Sections
- Why LEAN Scheduling is applied
- Key concepts: pull planning, social promise, constraint management
- The Last Planner System (LPS®) explained
- Hybrid integrated planning
- Visual planning tools and field engagement
- LEAN tasks in Oracle Primavera Cloud
- Plan2FlowTM
simulation: team-based planning using LPS - Group reflection and lessons learned

Learning method
The learning method combines theory with practice to ensure deep understanding and immediate application. Participants alternate between theoretical sessions and hands-on exercises, including the Plan2FlowTM simulation, to experience real project dynamics. This interactive approach promotes engagement, teamwork, and practical insight into applying LEAN Scheduling on their own projects.

Target audience
This course is intended for planning engineers, site managers, project managers, and anyone involved in construction planning and execution who wants to understand and apply LEAN principles on their projects. No prior LEAN experience required.
