Role of a planning engineer
- Be the analytical counterpart of the project manager and deliver these insights that can drive the project to success.
- Organize workshops and meetings to gather data from technical team members.
- Understand the technical coherence of the project and translate this in a project best practice schedule by using software tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project.
- Perform powerful analyses such as Earned Value, scenario and risk analysis.
- Register progress during project execution and analyze variances with the baseline.
- Advise the project manager and the project team on possible claims.
